When my father passed away in 2015 I began exploring the hobbies he had throughout his life to discover which of them would appeal to me the most. We are our parent’s children after all. Years later I found my dad’s Leica point-and-shoot camera and I was amazed at how you could manipulate a digital image on an editing program. I eventually purchased a more capable camera with a manual mode to challenge myself to grow and I decided to share this growth with everyone on social media. On August 6th, 2017, I made an Instagram page to mark the official start of my photography journey and to share my progress.

Like most photographers I started shooting landscapes to learn the basics and when I became comfortable enough, I asked some friends to pose for portraits. I studied the work of other portrait photographers online and I fell in love with the look of flash photography and high-speed-sync effects. I learned the finer points of photography at “The University of YouTube” and through experimentation of my own. Sharing my work and discussing photography on social media has lead me to amazing opportunities like shooting various social influencers around Palm Springs, working with several talented artists, creating content for new businesses, brands, and product lines, and working as a House Photographer for the 2018 and 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festivals.
